Cold characteristics: Pale transparent amber, similar to 1120 and 1437. May have a struck streak of orange running lengthwise down the rod.
Torch: Strikes to saturated, transparent orange. Keep 1125 transparent by using it in small amounts with minimal heatwork, or adding it towards the end of the time in the flame.
Kiln: Working properties and kilnformed characteristics are consistent with sheet glass.

"Striking glasses" change dramatically to reach target color during firing.Colors may vary, depending on firing schedule, rate, atmosphere, and heatwork. For color-sensitive projects, test before use.
