Lab Corundum - Garnet - Round - 3mm - 10pcs

The synthetic Corundl is a laboratory made stone and stands for an inexpensive alternative to the naturally grown Corund which is very hard and comes in different coulours. The synthetic Corund can be fired together with Art Clay without loosing or changing colour. Small stones can be fired with the gas torch or in the microwave. Larger stones should be fired in a kiln and cooled down slowly.

When making a handmade bezel, the shoulder of the stone must be covered with Art Clay, thus assuring that the stone cannot be pushed out during the firing and separate itself from the jewellery.
